SAN ANTONIO, TX (April 2, 2020) – The BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops is the longest-running collegiate bass fishing tournament in the history of the sport. Designed to give student anglers a platform to fellowship and compete on a national stage, the Association of Collegiate Anglers’ premier event has been held on some of the best bass fishing lakes in the country. For the 2021 edition of this great tournament, the Championship will be contested on Lake Murray in South Carolina May 26-27.
During Championship Week, the ACA and fishing industry rollout the red carpet for the anglers who qualify for the year-end event. Anglers will be treated like royalty as they receive multiple meals, meet and greet opportunities with industry leaders, as well as receive loads of products from some of the best brands in the business. All of this will culminate with two full days of fishing where one lucky team will be crowned National Champions, and a winner will also be crowned in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year presented by Abu Garcia.
“We are excited to host the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series at Lake Murray for this prestigious event,” said Miriam Atria, President/CEO of Capital City/Lake Murray Country RTB. “Our community is uniquely qualified to host these events at our world-class fishery. It is vital to the future of the fishing industry and to outdoor recreation to offer these types of events to students to ensure the growth of the industry.” Read more.
