Due to the overwhelming success of the Fishing With a Soldier events of 2011 & 2012, the organizers of the event have decided to build on the success of these events, and host the third event in April 2014, Watts Barr, Ladd Landing – Kingston, TN .
This event is an excellent opportunity for members of the community to give back a little something to the men and women of our Armed Forces, who are serving now, or have served. A volunteer boater will be teamed up with a soldier or veteran for a day out on the water competing against fellow soldiers and veterans in a fishing tournament. This is a non-profit, no cost event. As this event is still in the planning phase, not all details are available at this time. The first two events featured free food and drinks, and plenty of camaraderie.
In order for this event to be successful, we must begin to build a database of potential participates of both volunteer boaters, as well as soldier/veterans. By(providing) information, you will allow us to add your information to our list, which will allow us to keep you informed as the details unfold, as well as keep an accurate count of volunteer boaters and soldier/veterans.
