Lee County Public Fishing Lake will reopen on September 5, 2014, under the operation of new lake manager Elizabeth Johnson. The lake had been temporarily closed pending a selection and appointment of a new lake manager. The 130-acre lake is located 6 miles southeast of Opelika (or 9 miles east of Auburn).
The lake offers public restrooms, a covered fishing pier, and a boat ramp. Bait, fishing tackle and snacks may be purchased at the lake. In addition to a valid fishing license, a daily $3 fishing permit is required.
