Following the 186 boat turn out for the 2013 Rat-L-Trap Classic, this year we plan to break the 250 boat mark!
We expect large bags of hefty, pre-spawn fish to come to the scales. Some people might think we’re crazy for coming in January, but if they know anything about fishing Rat-L-Traps on Guntersville, then they know the potential for double-digit fish being weighed in! Last year we fished on Feb 2nd and there were dozens of 20 lb plus bags brought in despite the snow. By moving the tournament up 7 days, we seriously doubt that the weather could be any worse this year. We’re excited and expecting to have a great turnout!
We’re also very excited to be offering NEW ‘Traps to fish in the ‘Trap only tournament. Knock-N-Traps™ and Stealth Traps™ will be available for the January Rat-L-Trap Classic on Guntersville. In addition to our new products, Duckett Fishing and members of their staff will be on site to show case their new products as well.
The payback will again be 100% and both cash and prizes will go very deep just as last year. Entry fees will only be $100 per boat. Details will be posted in the upcoming weeks on www.rat-l-trap.com and www.duckettfishing.com.
