A pleasant morning greeted fifty-eight young bass anglers and their adult sponsors (boat captains) as they arrived at First Creek.

The anglers hit Wheeler Lake on Saturday, May 21 at 7 AM.
This was the first club tournament of the 2022 season. The anglers brought in a lot of bass with some bags weighing in at over 11 pounds. The rising temperature and humidity were being felt as the 11:00 weigh-in got underway. The contestants fished in water with surface temperatures in the mid-70s.
Hadley Brewer took first place in the 10 and Under Age Division with 11 lbs., 8 oz. Mason Newton placed first in the 11 to 15 Age Division with 12 lbs., 9 oz. And Andrew Littleton’s 7 lbs. was good enough to top the 16 to 18 Age Division. Brody Bennett weighed a 3 lb., 8 oz. largemouth for the big fish of the event.
The next club tournament is on June 18 on Wilson Lake out of Lock Six.

Tournaments will begin at 7:00 A.M. and weigh-in will be at 11:00 A.M.
There are three divisions:
1. 10 and Under
2. 11 thru 15
3. 16 thru 18
Anglers in each division must have a responsible adult advisor. The year end picnic will be held after the last tournament. You must be a member before the last tournament.
