Southern Fishing News publisher and editor, Ron McDonald, says that the combined numbers of the Internet bass fishing website and social pages jumped from 37,186 this past February to almost 495,000 in May.
…fishing stories, photos, videos, photos, fishing artwork, cartoons, tournament results, new product news…
McDonald attributed the “hyperjump” in the number of Southern Fishing News to a combination of the “word getting out” and a cumulative effect of additional web outlets and content. “Southern Fishing News uses the synergy of our website at southernfishingnews.com and a number of social sites that either link to our website and/or puts our name in front of the public,” McDonald added.
The medium publishes fishing stories, photos, videos, photos, fishing artwork, cartoons, tournament results, new product news- basically everything bass fishing. Readers include anglers in the U.S. and foreign countries for the Alabama-based news organization. The editor noted Southern Fishing News headquarters is located in the bass fishing Mecca of America, North Alabama, surrounded by Lake Guntersville, Pickwick, Kentucky Lake, Wheeler, Wilson, Chickamauga, and several more.
McDonald said, “Southern Fishing News is a “backdoor” to the bass fishing market. By ‘backdoor’ I mean we go directly to individual bass anglers with our material,”
Southern Fishing News has an “About” page and link to a media kit that provides background and details on the medium at https://southernfishingnews.com/about.
