Why the V-T2 was invented

We are often asked how we came up with the idea of the V-T2 Livewell Ventilation System. It is simple, really. As tournament anglers we wanted our livewells to do what livewells are suppose to do and that is to keep our fish healthy and alive for the weigh-in and the release.

The problem was when we got into the warmer months of summer, keeping fish healthy was much harder to do. We watched over the years as the industry proposed using ice, additives, salt, hydrogen peroxide, mountain dew and the list goes on.

What angler has the time to do these things when you are trying to catch enough fish to win a tournament? And why do we have to do these things? None of these things are being added to the lakes to keep fish alive in the summer?

V-T2Fish live fine all year around in their natural lake environment. The problem is, and always has been, the standard design of the livewell. A closed livewell holds heat, harmful gases, and doesn’t utilize the abundant oxygen in our atmosphere. The V-T2 allows for continuous flow of oxygen in and out of the livewell. This is the same natural process that keeps lake and reservoirs a healthy environment for fish.

Natural ventilation and oxygenation is why the V-T2 Livewell Ventilation System is all any angler needs to keep their fish healthy and fit for the release.
