Wilson Lake bass cooperate with Shoals Youth Bassmasters

Fifty-five young anglers of the Shoals Youth Bassmasters (SYBM) lined-up at Fleet Harbor ramp on Wilson Lake in North Alabama ready to compete for trophies in the three club age divisions.

Although the club total weight was more, the combined weights of the division winners was 118.75 lbs. The heaviest limit of five fish was 17 lbs. 3 oz. brought in by Cal Cannon. Cal also took big fish honors with a 4 lb. 15 oz. largemouth. That was a 10.8 pound average for the trophy places in all divisions.

First place in the 10 and under was Cal Cannon with his big limit. The top spot in 11 to 15 age division went to Brandon Atkins with 12 lbs. 3 oz. Jared Sparks was the winner in the 16 to 18-year-old group for his 9 lb. 2 oz. bag.
