Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation (ABFN) member and National Federation Nation Champion Jamie Horton, Centreville, AL, is fishing the Red River BASSMASTER Classic, his second, in style.
Horton arrived at the Classic in a newly wrapped Scott Crump Tundra and Triton courtesy of The Graphix Guys in Hanceville, AL that did the printing and wrap application.
Jamie worked with Mike Macon of Maconart to come up with the design. Macon said, “He wanted red and he roots for (the University of) Alabama which is proudly displayed in his rear window. He called me from the road on the way to the Classic saying people were driving by blowing their horn and waving their Alabama hats to him.” So Tide red dominates Horton’s wrap.
The wraps will also look good on the B.A.S.S. Elite Tournament Trail. Macon, District 2 Director and Treasurer for the Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation, said, “Jamie made a decision to fish the Elite Series. The Alabama Federation, being proud of our member, chose to assist him with a check of $4000 for his Classic and rookie Elite season. There will be ten rookies fishing the Elite competition in 2012.
Jamie’s ride began with making the 2011 Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation State Team. The 2011 State Team itself proved to be a strong team by finishing first in the Southern Divisionals. Horton was the Alabama Representative at the Federation National’s and finished in first place making him the 2011 B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Champion. His top finish gave him the amateur contender spot of the Southern Division.
His boat and vehicle wrap is proudly sponsored by Scott Crump Toyota, who is a big sponsor the Alabama B.A.S.S. Federation Nation. The wraps will feature six main sponsors: Consolidated Pipe and Supply, Birmingham, AL; Airport Marine, Calera, AL; Atlas Welding and Supply Co., Tuscaloosa, AL; Scott Crump Toyota of Jasper, AL; Gone Fishing Sunglasses; and his present employer, Burkes Mechanical in Brent, AL
