Hot temps, an overcast sky and a slight breeze, Saturday, August 13th, welcomed the Shoals Youth Bassmasters to Pickwick Lake. The B.A.S.S. Youth club launched from Colbert Park at the Natchez Trace Bridge. Fifty, dedicated, youth tournament anglers and their boat captains participated in the next to last club tournament of the 2016 season.
The club features three age divisions for fishing parity: Ten years of age and under; Eleven years old to fifteen; and sixteen years old to eighteen. Many club members go on to fish on college bass teams and most all continue their bass fishing interest for the rest of their lives.

10 and Under
1st Place, Spencer Lovett-7 lbs. 15 oz.
2nd Place, Payton Davidson-7 lbs. 6 oz.
3rd Place, Hudson Dunkin-6 lbs. 3 oz.
4th Place, Mason Newton-5 lbs. 11 oz.
11 to 15
1st Place, Walker Brown-14 lbs. 11 oz.
2nd Place, Nathan Whitehead-11 lbs. 5 oz.
3rd Place, Trey Mann-9 lbs. 1 oz.
4th Place, Luke Daniel-7 lbs. 11 oz.
16 to 18
1st Place, Hayden Bolton-4 lbs. 14 oz.
2nd Place, Hayden Berry-4 lbs. 10 oz.
3rd Place, Ethan Hester-4 lbs. 10 oz.

The tournament was the fourth club tournament of a six event schedule.
