GUNTERSVILLE, Ala. – After his nearly 30-pound bag, it seemed inevitable that Jacob Wheeler would win at Lake Guntersville for Toro Stage Four Presented by Bass Cat. The 2023 BoatUS Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops on May 26 is in the books. The Association of Collegiate Anglers’ 18th annual National Championship awarded over $30,000 in prizes and contingencies, crowned a National Champion, and named a number one team in the Bass Pro Shops School of the Year.

Youth Anglers Face Bad Weather On Wheeler Lake

The Shoals Youth Bassmasters, based in Northwest Alabama, arrived at a rain-drenched ramp in Wheeler Lake’s First Creek on May 20th. This was the first club tournament of the 2023 schedule.
