Bass Fishing Hall of Famer Skeet Reese announced Tuesday that the 2025 Bass Pro Tour season will be his last.

The Exceptional Anglers event Gone Fishin’, Not Just Wishin’ at Oak Mountain State Park will occur May 7-9, 2025. The event teaches basic fishing skills to students with disabilities from Alabaster and Pelham city schools and the Shelby and Jefferson county school systems. The media is invited to attend on Thursday, May 8, from 9:30-11:30 a.m.
This past weekend (April 5), the Association of Collegiate Anglers contested the third event of its historic 20th season on the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. Over 270 teams were on hand in Florence, AL at Pickwick Lake to compete in the Pickwick Slam.

Florence, AL (April 5, 2025) – Following close monitoring of the conditions and reports from both the National Weather Service and TVA, the ACA made the decision to cancel Day 2 of the tournament competition at the Pickwick Slam, due to weather and current conditions projected to impact the area. The Pickwick Slam was then shortened to a one-day event.
