 The team of Matt Adams and Jason Whitehead secured first place with an impressive total weight of 28.49 pounds at the ABT 100’s first event at Lake Guntersville, Alabama. Recently, teams had been catching over 30-pound bags, and many found fish with relative ease.

The 2024-25 season of the Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series marks the 20^th anniversary for the Association of Collegiate Anglers. The third event of the ACA’s historic season will be the Pickwick Slam.

Most lakes return to regular hours on February 1

Most of Alabama’s 23 State-owned Public Fishing Lakes return to regular operational hours on Saturday, February 1, 2025. Located throughout the state, these lakes are noted for their quality fishing for bream, largemouth bass, channel catfish and crappie (in most lakes).
