The Shoals Youth Bassmasters headed toward their final tournament of the year with an August 28 2021 on Wilson Lake.
The twenty-nine club anglers fishing this event were competing for places in each of the club’s age divisions-and for fun.The contest began at 7 AM after boat captains and their youth anglers launched their boats from the Lock Six ramp.
Wilson Lake had a little chop at takeoff time according to club director Richard Laxson. “The rest of the tournament was fished in typical August hot sun but the young bass anglers did catch fish,” Laxson observed.
Speaking of fish, Hadley Brewer took first place in the 10 and Under Division with 10-2. First place in the 11 to 15 Division was won by Camden Randall bringing a 5-10 bag to the scales. Six pounds five ounces was enough for Hunter Brewer to take the first place trophy home. Wrapping the weigh-in up was, again, Hadley Brewer bringing the big fish of the tournament in.
