Andy Poss knows the Tennessee River’s Pickwick Lake from top to bottom – literally. Fishing for both largemouths and the scrappy smallmouths, as well as crappie, is what he does now. For 15 years prior, he probed the lake from bottom to top to make a living.

The Shoals Youth Bassmasters fished Pickwick for their final tournament of the 2024 season. Forty-eight young bass anglers and their adult boat captains departed from McFarland ramp in their quest to land the first-place spot in one of the three age divisions.
This past weekend, the Association of Collegiate Anglers, before the start of the Kentucky Lake event, named the first three anglers to its 2024-25 All-Academic Team.
