The Alabama B.A.S.S. Nation State Championship will be held on Lake Martin, October 29-30th. The road to the BASSMASTER CLASSIC starts here. And for Alabama anglers, this is the one that matters most. Think of it like this: Martin is the gatekeeper. You have to beat Martin to move on.

The Shoals Youth Bassmasters motored out onto Wilson Lake from the confines of Safety Harbor on August 29 for their fifth tournament of the year. The young contestants began casting and boating bass in what could be described this time of year as pleasant, with the trophy winners boating 57.4 lbs. of bass.

September on Pickwick and Wilson is that in-between bite where summer ledges are emptying out and the creeks are loading up, and if you catch the shad right, you can have a career day.
