We have seen a few ideas on storing the urchin-style, “stringy ball” baits. The idea is to keep the “tenacles” free and flowing, not bent up. So after some deep deliberation, a dim light came on for a cheap and super-fast way to “build” your very own urchin bait box.
All you need is an old spinnerbait box and the wire that was through the urchin bait balls when you bought them. Simply unpack your baits and lay the wire across the notched panels in the spinnerbait box. Wow, that required some major-level engineering! OK, go ahead and buy a new, long spinnerbait box if you want.
