Sixty-eight members of the Shoals Youth Bassmasters fished in hot temperatures on Wilson Lake on August 16. The tournament was fished out of Safety Harbor with a trophy weight of 93.60 lbs.

Club Director Richard Laxson said, “The fishing was good and almost all the kids caught fish. Many had their limit of three fish. It was a good morning for fishing, but the heat, as most tournaments this year, was still hot at weigh-in time—many thanks to Fisher Heard for fizzing fish caught in the hot water and several deep.
This was the last tournament on Wilson Lake this year, with Wheeler coming up next as the last event of the 2025 season.
Hadley Brewer took the first-place trophy in the youngest age division with 11.74 lbs. First place in the 11 to 15 year old group was won by Weston Smith, who put 11.58 lbs. in the livewell. Weston also took tournament big fish honors with a 4.40 lb. smallmouth. The oldest 16 to 18-year-old division was topped by Landen Kelly with his bag total of 7,45 lbs. of bass.
